Staud Spring 2027 Runway: Gisele Bündchen Leads a Cast Built on Ease at New York Fashion Week

Staud’s Spring 2027 ready-to-wear show arrived at New York Fashion Week with a 38-look lineup, and the casting does as much storytelling as the clothes. Gisele Bündchen appears across multiple looks in the official slideshow imagery, joined by a compact group of faces that includes Agata Buzek, Ana Stanić, and Iva Frühlingová. For a contemporary label built on accessible luxury, that mix is deliberate.

The clothes back it up. Sarah Staudinger, the brand’s founder and creative director, framed the season around in-betweenness instead of a single mood. “The spring 2027 season essentially lives in the slash. It lives in the space between,” she said, describing the collection internally as up/down, east/west, here/there, then/now. In casting terms, that points to women who can carry a satin gown and a leather coat with the same unforced ease.

Gisele Bündchen Leads a Cast Built on Ease

Bündchen is the headline name, and her presence changes the temperature of the lineup. Contemporary-priced brands rarely book a supermodel of her stature, and when one does, the effect is to widen the age and confidence range on the runway. She sells the idea that a Staud look belongs to a grown woman with somewhere to be.

The supporting cast follows the same logic. Agata Buzek brings an arthouse, cerebral edge. Ana Stanić and Iva Frühlingová add a polished European cool that suits the label’s relaxed identity. None reads as an anonymous face. The Staud woman is the type who tries without appearing to try too hard, and that ease lands more naturally on women with stories of their own.

The Runway Beats the Cast Had to Carry

The show opened with its commercial anchor: an ombré leather coat cut from the same material as the oversized Maude tote, a bag that has already surfaced on fashion insiders. On a body, in motion, the pairing made the label’s accessory strategy legible in a way a product shot cannot.

Elsewhere in the lineup, an ivory crackled leather moto jacket with funnel-neck collar detailing supplied the tougher beat. Styling did quiet work too. Duchess satin gowns walked with loafers and sandals and raffia hats instead of evening clutches, and flats change how a model moves. The stride gets honest, and the gowns looked easier for it.

A patchwork beaded top and skirt carried the richest surface detail, designed to work as separates or as a full set. It is the kind of look that rewards a model who can handle embellishment without stiffening.

What the Staud Cast Signals for Spring 2027

Staudinger’s pre-collections are her biggest seasons, and she calls pre-fall the “Summer of Staud.” That explains why the mainline show reads like wearable clothes rather than theater, and why this casting follows suit: believable women, a wider age range than much of the New York schedule, and a blend of established names and newer faces.

For aspiring models, the takeaway is a portfolio that looks lived in. Clean, wearable images and natural movement will always read closer to a Staud brief than high-concept posing. For model watchers, these are faces worth tracking through the season. Full agency cast lists typically land in the days after a show, so expect this lineup to be confirmed and expanded as Spring 2027 unfolds.
